Samdech PM Hun Sen will take part in the summit of Mekong leaders in Myanmar and the leaders will touch on the cooperation, development and environment for one of longest river in the world.
Mr. U Thein Sien, president of the republic of the union of Myanmar personally has invited Samdech PM Hun Sen and he will lead a high delegation to attend the fourth greater Mekong sub-region (GMS) summit to be held from 19-20 December 2011 in Nay Pyi Taw, the republic of union of Myanmar. The delegation will include senior minister Cham Prasidh and minister of commerce, Mok Mareth, senior minister and minister of environment and other members of Cambodian government.
During the summit, documents will be signed including joint declaration of the fourth GMS summit which will be signed by the leaders of GMS countries: Cambodia, Laos PDR, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam). MoU for joint action to reduce HIV vulnerability related to population movement and MoU on the joint cooperation in further accelerating the construction of the international superhighway and its application in the GMS and Articles of association of the GMS freight transporters association (FRETA).
Besides the summit, Samdech Hun Sen will pay a courtesy call on Mr. U Thein Sein, president of the republic of the Union of Myanmar. ###
