the trial chamber of – UN- Cambodian tribunal on December will open the Hearing of evidence for Case 002 , which charged of war crimes, crimes against humanity and gravel breach of human convention.
The court will open its process on 5 December 2011 at 09:00, and will continue until 16 December 2011 at 16:30, the statement from court said. The trial Chamber will resume its process for hearing of evidence of Case 002 on 9 January 2012 at 09:00 and it will be ended on 30 March 2012 at 16:00.
In case 002 , three top leaders included Nuon chea, president of national assembly, Khieu Samphan, former head of state, Ieng sary, and former foreign minister, who were run the country in 1975-1979, and it led Khmer people of nearly 2 million died of starvation, overwork, and execution out law. Now, they are in 80s in custody due to charges. This ultra-communist abolished Khmer currency and no market, eliminated religion and forced people to slave at rice fields.
The court also announced that for verdict of Case 001-, Announcement of judgement of the Supreme Court Chamber will issue it on 3 February 2012 at 12:00. Kang Kek Iev known as Duch, former head of s-21 prison of the Khmer rouge regime is in case 001 alone. In July 2010, he was sentenced to 19 years in jail by the court. ( By SEA WEEKLY, clh) ##
